Centile Telecom Applications, the European provider of unified communications and fixed-mobile convergence solutions for operators and integrators, has announced that Pace Telecom, a nationwide UK provider of communication services, has selected ISTRA platform to power its Cloud Unified Communications services.

Much of the demand for UC services is being driven by enterprises end-users. They are seeking flexible working practices and productivity enhancing tools. As leader in VoiP technology and in response to customers' demand and the growing trend, Pace Telecom was looking for a scalable, stable and reliable UC platform to replace its existing one.

Pace Telecom also needed a company with strong technical skills that can meet its aggressive, short schedule to have an up and running platform within two months and migrate within one month its 3 500 users from its existing platform.

Having studied various solutions on the market, Pace Telecom selected Centile, Frost & Sullivan 2015 Cloud Communications Award winner, and its proven, secured, redundant and feature-rich ISTRA solution.

ISTRA delivers a comprehensive portfolio of Unified Communications & Fixe-Mobile Convergence services enabling audio and video conferencing with screen and file sharing, collaboration, instant messaging and presence, call control, call recording and mobility with unique number and voicemail, mobile twinning and fixe-mobile voice call continuity. ISTRA also supports a wide range of certified SIP terminals, enabling Pace Telecom to keep their existing ones.

Pace Telecom is also surrounded by an ecosystem of specialized market players such as Oracle for its SBC integrated with Centile ISTRA platform, Gigaset and Yealink for SIP devices that both benefit from auto-provisioning, fine integration and regular updates.

Denitza Grudova, Regional Sales Director at Centile Telecom Applications underlines: Operators like Pace Telecom, who wish to diversify themselves by offering Cloud UC and FMC services, are the ideal partner for Centile. We are convinced that ISTRA platform is best positioned to allow Pace Telecom to deliver the large and rapidly growing enterprises market with innovative business communication services and therefore to strengthen its position in the UK market".

Jamie Hughes, CEO at Pace Telecom continues: "Our pre-existing 4PSA platform was giving us issues with scalability and reliability. After evaluating the Centile ISTRA platform, we saw that it would offer us not only the means to deliver the quality of service our customers were expecting, but also a clear road map allowing us to respond to changing customer requirements with new and innovative services." He adds:" migrating services to the Centile ISTRA solution presented some specific challenges. The Centile technical team were excellent, handling our complex voice and data network requirements very skilfully, including the integration with Oracle session border controller".
