Data storage, management and recovery expert Attix5 has signed an agreement with consultancy-led distributor Blue Solutions to help grow its SMB channel community. Attix5 has made the move as it looks to expand across the private sector, targeting small to medium businesses.
SMB resellers can now broaden current portfolios with tried and tested, easy to deploy, PC or server backup solutions suitable for any industry. Blue Solutions will enable resellers to sell the high-margin data recovery solutions and earn monthly recurring, incremental revenue by providing a hosted solution on its own high-availability data centre.
The cloud offering provided by Blue Solutions will alleviate the financial and technical burden on resellers of becoming a Managed Service Provider (MSP). It will operate a consumption model, billing resellers monthly for the quantity of GB they are protecting.
Data backup services to small to medium business present a growing revenue opportunity for the SMB channel community. According to a Forrester Research report (Market Overview: Backup Software-As-A-Service) the restore process is a struggle for SMBs because of a complex ecosystem of IT.

Blue Solutions will support the SMB channel with trial products for download, training, coaching webinars, helpdesk and sales support. It will also provide sales collateral to help resellers win new business quickly.
