Westcoast has launched a Workstation configuration tool for HP, to help resellers streamline and simplify the complex process of configuring a Workstation. The online platform called iCreate, has taken almost two years to develop and is currently being road-tested by a group of Westcoast resellers.
iCreate allows users to choose a configuration by software or hardware platform, it also provides a platform for resellers to sell pre-built Workstations. This promises to increase efficiency, delivery times as well as reducing the cost of sale and cutting the level of in-depth knowledge required to configure an HP workstation and increase margin.
Westcoast's Alex Tatham, Sales and Marketing Director, explains: "Although there are existing tools that may include functionality elements of iCreate, there is nothing out there in the channel offering all these product features in one simple to use web tool. The USP it offers allows a user to identify and purchase their configuration by either hardware platform or software application.
"At Westcoast we're always seeking to innovate and provide new, exciting tools to help our customers serve their clients. The next step is to implement iCreate into our resellers' websites, because we believe it will become a vital piece of kit to help their business."
