NTT Europe Onlines virtualised hosting solution gives CentraStage a reliable and faster platform from which clients can access its web-based remote management platform. As usage of the multi-tenancy platform grows, CentraStage is able to quickly and easily increase server resources via NTTs online management portal. For customers with additional security and compliance considerations, CentraStage offers dedicated private cloud solutions using NTT Europe Onlines flexible virtualisation capabilities.
CentraStages decision to offer its platform via the cloud has ensured its services are available to a wider range of clients, both in terms of the size of end-users and geographic location; attracting customers across the globe with a growing number of ICT support companies signing up to use its services from the US, and even New Zealand.
Christian Nagele, Managing Director of CentraStage, said of the implementation: Our customers rely on our systems to access and support over a hundred thousand remote devices, so having a secure and reliable hosting environment provided by NTT Europe Online is essential. Making our services available via the cloud was vital in growing the footprint of our business and making it more widely accessible. With CentraStage now gaining increasing traction and profile in the US, it is also important that we have a hosting partner who can provide load-balanced infrastructure around the globe. NTT ticks all the boxes in this regard.
Mobile phone giant, Carphone Warehouse, was one of the first companies to use Centrastage via the new NTT Europe Online hosting platform, using it to manage and maintain its estate of thousands of in-store demonstration laptops and devices.
Dave Newman, Channel Platform Manager for Carphone Warehouse said of their deployment: The demonstration laptops we have in store were previously unmanageable and CentraStage has revolutionised how we manage and control the demonstration laptop estate, completely changing the way we utilise these key assets. It has proved so compelling that we are now rolling it out to the new Best Buy stores opening in the UK this year. Because these devices are a critical part of our customer facing store experience it is important that Centrastage is always available, has excellent performance and can scale quickly and easily to meet our requirements. With the move to NTT, this is guaranteed.
Bob Welton, UK Director of Sales & Marketing at NTT Europe Online added: CentraStage is an exciting example of how service providers can really drive their businesses online. The cloud delivery model CentraStage has implemented allows it to offer a faster and more reliable platform, while the use of virtualization helps deliver true economies of scale.
