Following on from the recent release of its KIP5000 integrated production system, KIP UK, supplier/manufacturer of wide-format digital reprographic systems, has launched three new models to expand the colour capability family.
The KIP5200 offers all of the peak demand productivity and superior imaging benefits of the KIP5000, plus increased scanning speeds with the high grade 2100 scanner. Designed to meet the needs of commercial print bureaus, the scanner is up to 37% faster in mono and 75% faster in colour than the previous model. It comes with KIPs Max professional grade colour software, which supports multiple inkjet printers and has integrated software RIP. The software also allows for print tiling and panelling, as well as image editing and ICCC profiling, allowing print professionals to offer added value services to their clients.
The KIP7000 is an even more powerful version of the KIP5000. With a production rate of 13 x A1 prints per minute (7 xA0), it is ideal in environments where productivity demands are high. When integrated with a colour inkjet printer, the KIP7000 is an integrated solution for colour copying and printing into collated sets. These benefits are achieved in a space saving single footprint giving maximum productivity with a minimum impact on valuable workspace.
The final model is the KIP7200, which teams the KIP7000 with the 2100 scanner for a totally integrated solution.
KIP believes it is the first printer technology manufacturer to build a simple to use cost accounting capability into its printers. This facility is accessed through a touch screen and lets businesses track usage as well as control and recover their print costs. PIN based access enables users to audit all activity, (scanning, copying and printing), on an individual or project-by-project basis. The system can also be set to automatically email the accounting data each month, week or day to any email address.
The system prints all standard file formats and also includes the ability to batch print AutoDESK DWF together with an option for PDF file printing. The included PrintNet browser based print manager allows the user to print from anywhere in the world, as well as the ability to manage single or multiple printers remotely.
The tried and tested HDP print system gives excellent reproduction of fine lines and greyscales and its environmentally friendly with 100% toner efficiency, meaning no waste toner to dispose of and no mess.
