DocsCorp puts scanning solution into fifth gear with Cover Page Routing for Interwoven users

DocsCorp, a global leader in PDF integration technology, unveiled its Cover Page Routing solution at GearUp 2007 in San Francisco.

Part of the proven pdfDocs OCR Server solution, the Cover Page Routing integrates directly into Interwoven to streamline the process of capturing and profiling scanned content.

According to David Woolstencroft, DocsCorp Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, the pdfDocs OCR Server solution leverages the power of multi-function devices to provide Interwoven users with a choice of integration methods. Users can easily scan and combine documents or scan and profile documents depending on the nature of the task.

Woolstencroft continues "the user for example creates a cover page defining how the scanned document should be profiled into Interwoven. The user then simply places the cover page on top of their document and scans the document. pdfDocs OCR converts the scanned document to a text-searchable PDF and profiles it directly into the appropriate client folder or matter."

Interwoven users who have pdfDocs Desktop can scan documents to the pdfDocs Organiser workspace. The Organizer makes it simple to combine documents, change the order of documents or pages and then add comments or redact information-all from within one simple interface. Woolstencroft feels that this is the ideal way to handle incoming correspondence or exhibits that need to be combined with other documents for electronic filing.

"Cover Page Routing is a natural extension to our pdfDocs Solutions Suite and I look forward to working with Interwoven to further develop our range of pdfDocs products to enhance and support Interwoven and its clients," concluded Woolstencroft.

Creating and managing PDFs in Interwoven

Integration between pdfDocs and Interwoven makes creating and managing PDF documents a much faster and more efficient process for users. A single right-click on an Interwoven document for example enables users to generate PDF documents within Interwoven WorkSite. Integration also means that external PDF documents can be imported into pdfDocs, where they can be modified or combined with other documents and saved into the Worksite profile as a new version or related document.

"We see PDF management as an integral component of enterprise content management. With pdfDocs, we are able to offer Interwoven users a solution that integrates seamlessly with WorkSite and MailSite software. Users can now right-click to email any document in PDF form, save in PDF as a new related document or as an attachment, or load into the pdfDocs Organiser for collation and annotation," says Woolstencroft.

pdfDocs is used by more than 2,500 accounting, legal and professional services firms worldwide, including in McDermott, Will & Emery, Minter Ellison, Deloittes, Benesch Friedlander and KNV Chartered Accountants.
