Partnership Enables UK Enterprises to Integrate Fine-grained Network Access Control into Existing Networks for Heightened Security & Compliance

Applied Identity, a developer of identity-based network access control solutions, has announced the formation of a distribution partnership with UK-based Brookcourt Solutions, a leading provider of state-of-the-art secure networking solutions.

Brookcourt chose to partner with Applied Identity (AI) as a result of the companys unique and proven ability to enhance security within an organization by enabling enterprises to monitor and control -- by individual identity -- who can see and access valuable data and applications that reside on the network.   This ability to identify and control in-network users also has practical applications for mitigating insider fraud, segmenting offshore worker access and securing mobile device networks.  Moreover, Applied Identity's ability to record and report on individual user activity on the network provides companies with a valuable tool for internal auditing as well as regulatory compliance.

The main driver behind Brookcourt's partnership with AI is the increasing requirement of its customers for robust solutions that are post-authentication, or after a user has already been authorized into a network.  Applied Identity's solutions allow organizations to monitor and track employees, contractors, remote access workers, partners -- anyone who has the ability to get authenticated into the network.

Brookcourt is offering AIs IdentiforceTM solutions initially for four primary applications, including:  the control of mobile network access; the increased control of remote and contracted user access; the protection of high value assets such as confidential corporate data; and compliance with internal and external auditing requirements such as Market Abuse Directive (MAD) regulations governing EU public companies, and Sarbanes-Oxley or SOX requirements for US companies.  In addition, Brookcourt customers using Applied Identity's products will see reductions in operational costs through the utilization of less network infrastructure, and in the implementation of policy in a single centralized location on the network.

Our enterprise customers, across all industries, have an immediate need for understanding and controlling who exactly can see what on their networks and Applied Identity's solutions fulfill this need," said Phil Higgins, CEO of Brookcourt Solutions.  What's more, AI's solutions provide our clients with an innovative and easily deployable way of securing their networks without undue disruption to their security or identity management infrastructures.  While the impact on our customers' systems is small, the positive contribution is large, providing both improved network security and increased operational efficiency as functions such as internal auditing become easier to do."

Brookcourt's choice of Applied Identity on the heels of our recent partnership with DiGi Security of Italy, once again validates the universal appeal of our technology in the European marketplace," commented Brian Nugent, President & CEO of Applied Identity.  "As important, Brookcourt's high level of innovation, professionalism and customer service orientation has made the company a favourite network solutions provider amongst Fortune 1000 companies in the UK and we are proud to be one of their carefully selected partners."

We are proud to be working with Brookcourt Solutions they are well-respected in the UK enterprise technology community, and have demonstrated a high level of professionalism and ability to leverage the value of innovative products for both large and smaller enterprises across several industries.  AIs solutions are helping Brookcourt provide their customers with the ability to use their existing identity infrastructure to tackle a host of issues that previously required significant costs and time investments, stated Steve Momchilovich, of the International Business Development division for Applied Identity.
