Labelstore Picks Up Where KTP left off

KTP Ltd was involved with bar coding from its early adoption in the 1970s by the UK retail industry as the coming form of auto ID. The company started up in Beverley East Yorkshire in 1977 and used its bar code expertise, its emphasis on quality, and its reputation for a high level of personal service to become widely recognised by multiple retailers and their suppliers in the UK as a centre of excellence for Bar Code Systems Integration

In the early 1980s, KTP cemented its bar code portfolio by establishing the Labelstore as its own in-house manufacturer of labels for variable data overprinting.

The KTP name became dormant when in January 2002 the company was acquired by Trenstar Inc who developed the company into a provider of Mobile Asset Management Solutions which took the focus off the companys traditional capabilities in the field of bar coding.

However, in October 2004, the Labelstore was acquired by John Crowe holdings Ltd and was established as The Labelstore (UK) Ltd. The new company focuses exclusively on the delivery of Complete Bar Code Labelling Solutions to retailers, manufacturers and the logistics industry. The Labelstore continues to manufacture labels and tickets to individual customer requirements in its factory in Beverley, East Yorkshire and converts these into a complete solution by selling them in conjunction with label design software, thermal transfer ribbons, thermal label printers, bar code verifiers, service and maintenance and bar code training and consultancy.

When the Labelstore joined forces with John Crowe holdings it was determined to maintain its bar coding pedigree and all its key personnel, customers and suppliers stayed with the new company. In many ways the Labelstore (UK) Ltd embodies all the traditional bar code skills and credo for top quality customer service which were the hallmark of KTP in the beginning.

The Labelstore (UK) Ltd still works out of its original base in Beverley, East Yorkshire and continues to provide Complete Bar Code Labelling Solutions to a prestigious customer base in the manufacturing, retail and logistics industries.
