That means the mobile hand-held unit can be used in the fields of transportation, logistics or goods management, for example. Equipped with the Windows CE.NET operating system, data can be easily exchanged between the company IT system and the portable data carrier. The portable appliance can be connected to a PC via wireless LAN (local area network), Bluetooth, infra-red or using a USB cable. Thanks to the CCD (charge-coupled device) scanner built into the BHT 200, the user can scan bar codes precisely from a distance of up to 100 centimetres. This even applies to high-density bar codes.

With a maximum weight of 360 grams and measuring 186 x 90 x 44 millimetres, the terminal is designed for industrial use. The bar code hand-held can withstand being dropped from a height of 1.2 metres undamaged. In addition, the product is waterproof and dustproof. Thanks to its long-life lithium ion batteries, the 2-D-compliant unit keeps going for up to 12.5 hours, while the Flash File System developed by Denso protects data saved on the BHT 200 should the power fail. The optional handgrip is fitted with an extra battery.
