Metrologic Names Mark Ryan as Director, EMEA Sales

Metrologic Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:MTLG - News), experts in optical image capture and processing solutions that design, manufacture and market sophisticated imaging and scanning solutions for a variety of applications has announced the promotion of Mark Ryan to the position of Director, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Sales. In his new role, Mr. Ryan will lead Metrologic's eight European regional sales offices.

Mr. Ryan joined Metrologic's European operations in June 1994 where he was initially responsible for the sales within the UK market. In 2000, Mr. Ryan was promoted to Regional Manager responsible for the UK, Benelux and Scandinavian territories. In the same year, he was instrumental in establishing Metrologic Instruments UK Limited. Prior to joining Metrologic, Mr. Ryan was employed in a sales/distribution role within General Motors in Germany and Rover in the UK.

Metrologic's newly appointed CEO and President, Benny Noens, commented, "I am delighted that Mark has been elevated to this position. He has made outstanding contributions to Metrologic EMEA over the past 10 years. Most notably he is responsible for building a dynamic sales and marketing organization and customer support team within the UK, Scandinavian and Benelux countries. As manager of Metrologic UK for the several last years, he has a proven record of success and is well respected by his customers and by all the managers in EMEA. I am pleased to leave EMEA in such capable hands."
