Sockets newest bar code scanning product, showcased during CeBIT last March, is the Cordless Hand Scanner. This unique product combines the power of laser bar code scanning with Bluetooth wireless technology in a compact handheld device. Special features include Fuzzy Logic for reading damaged or poor quality bar codes and a Class 1 Bluetooth radio for maximum possible range. The initial release supports connectivity to any Bluetooth enabled Pocket PC, and connectivity to Bluetooth enabled Windows Notebooks, Tablet PCs, Desktop Computers, Palm PDAs and Symbian OS devices will be available in August.
