Iconic Digital, the digital marketing agency based in London working with clients across the UK, has been honoured as the Best Overall Business at the esteemed BizX awards ceremony. Held at the ACC Arena in Liverpool on Thursday 18th April, the team received their award from TV personality Stephen Mulhern who hosted the ceremony.

Standing out from the crowd, Iconic Digital, founded in March 2012 by Chief Executive Steve Pailthorpe, were finalists in three more categories - Most Innovative Company, Customer Service and CEO of the Year - being credited for their innovative and unique approach, especially being ahead of the game adopting AI.

Upon receiving this prestigious accolade, Steve said, “When it comes to AI, standing still is moving backwards – if you don’t embrace AI, your competitive edge and market share will erode away. We knew straight off the bat that investing in it would give us an edge over other digital marketing firms. We pride ourselves in having an innovative approach and this award is testimony to that.”

The BizX awards, lucky for some in its 13th year, acknowledged a select club of successful businesses, celebrating their noteworthy achievements, growth and contributions of businesses and their owners from around the UK and EMEA regions.

“We just missed out on the other awards and I thought it wasn’t going to be our night. Then winning the award for Best Overall Business – wow – what an achievement! I can’t really put it into words,” said Steve. “We’ve spent the last 13 years pioneering a scientific and innovative approach to digital marketing which guarantees the return on investment for each of our clients every time. One of the things we’re most passionate about is giving back. We give 30% of our profits to good causes so the more we grow, then more we can give and that’s something which our customers really love!”

For Steve, his team were central to winning the prestigious accolade, “What I can say is thank you to the team. The dedication and resilience of every single member of our team - who have worked so hard over the last two years to get us where we are now – this is for you, thank you so much!”

Every year, ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business coaching firm, host BizX to recognise and honour the entrepreneurship, passion, risk-taking and results of some of the best companies and business owners. The unparalleled two-day event brings hundreds of driven entrepreneurs together to share ideas, build relationships and learn valuable insights from their peers.

For their business coach, James Vincent, working with Iconic Digital has been a fantastic experience. “These guys are pretty amazing. They’re innovators and the team really love what they do – I could think of no better winners of this award, everyone at Iconic Digital truly deserves this.

“I think we should also take a moment to appreciate the work of my colleague, Brian Doubleday, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. His amazing work with Steve over several years at Iconic was instrumental in their success – I’m just following in his footsteps and I think I can say for everyone how much of an impact Brian made – the commitment and consistency he bestowed on the team have helped them get where they are today.”

Julie Wagstaff, Managing Director of ActionCOACH UK, congratulated Steve and the team on their outstanding work over the previous 12 months. “Every year becomes harder and harder to judge due to the fantastic entries we receive – which makes winning even more of an achievement. The awards truly recognise the best when it comes to business growth, impact, innovation and culture, so the standards set by Iconic Digital really do stand out from the crowd. Again, massive congratulations to Steve and the team – you’ve earned this.”
