Jamf, the standard for Apple management, announced today that its Jamf Premium Cloud service is now available to users in the UK, providing business-critical flexibility and scalability to Jamf Pro users in the cloud.

By offering a UK data centre to support Jamf Premium Cloud, Jamf is demonstrating its commitment to provide an uninterrupted service to users in the U.K., during and after the Brexit transition period.

Jamf Premium Cloud gives users control over their server and its security, through third-party certificates and IP whitelisting. Users can also benefit from version and upgrade control, which empowers them with the ability to determine when their Jamf Pro server is upgraded, with the added peace of mind of daily backups. Jamf guarantees a 99.9% server uptime, meaning that users can feel confident hosting their Jamf Pro server in the cloud.

The arrival of the service in the U.K. will enable customers to use a localised data centre and explore the opportunities that lie within the cloud in a way that meets the needs of their organisation. The add-on feature provides benefits for all Jamf customers across education, retail, the enterprise and more.

  • Whitelisting: Manage and grant access to certain IP and network addresses and determine which users can log on to the server
  • Branding: With Jamf Premium Cloud, customise the name and URL of the server, so it seamlessly aligns with company branding
  • Version Control: Update the Jamf Pro server at any time to any version released in the last year.

Jamf Premium Cloud currently has data centre locations in the United States, Germany, Japan and Australia, and the expansion of the service means that Jamf users in the U.K. can now access a tailored data centre. Regardless of the next steps in the Brexit process, Jamf Premium Cloud users can be confident that they will be able to access and benefit from an uninterrupted cloud service. By evolving the Jamf service to fit the unique needs UK market, Jamf increases the flexibility of the cloud and enables users to benefit from a globally accessible, secure cloud service. This is ultimately invaluable to Jamf customers during the transition period of Brexit and beyond.

“We are excited to bring Jamf Premium Cloud to the U.K. as it will bring flexibility to our customers here,” said Mark Ollila, director, cloud operations, Jamf. “Jamf users will be able to reap the benefits of the cloud securely, as well as experience additional layers of security and customised branding. As the U.K. prepares to part ways with the EU, the cloud will be an essential tool for British businesses to compete globally, which is why we have launched Jamf Premium Cloud tailored for those in the UK.”
