Ingram Micro expands vendor portfolio with Xupo Partnership

Ingram Micro U.K. & Ireland has announced the partnership with Xupo, an add-on item and cutting-edge technology connected accessory. In the growing market of smart locators, Xupo stands out as the only UK-made product with patented technology which aims to give you the ideal balance with multilingual UK-based customer support.

Xupo solves an age-old problem with a modern 21st century technology solution. Why waste time and energy looking for lost items when you can now track them down with your smartphone. Well-poised to be a leading player in the rapidly growing Asset Tracking market of mobile/tablet connected devices with advanced propositions. Xupo has a replaceable battery with a re-usable design approach: expandable hardware, modular software stack for the IoT (Internet of Things) with cloud and analytics. Award-winning Xupo is one of the strongest propositions in the European market. This simple yet effective solution proved a sell-out success at a consumer electronics trade show earlier and has been featured on TV shows including BBC Dragons' Den.

It comes with three easy to use features

  1. Find it – ring and find your Xupo
  2. Call it – Ring your phone from Xupo
  3. Map it – Find lost items on a map using community tracking

Chris Connell, Vendor Director at Ingram Micro commented: "Ingram Micro continues to invest in its vendor portfolio to enable our reseller partners to offer comprehensive products and solutions to a variety of vertical markets. We are excited about our partnership with Xupo, and look forward to building new channels and delivering incremental growth to our customers."

The new device sports a fresh design, but retains the popular replaceable battery feature, a recycle-friendly packaging which is all elements of the brand that sets it apart. Xupo is Bluetooth 5 ready, integrated with an IoT cloud, rebuilt with an ARM-core and offers longer power yet in a smaller package and improved connectivity.

Xupo CEO, Raj Sark, sees this move as a "stepping stone to further scaling the start-up and continuously provide cutting-edge solutions based on the Xupo smart location platform technology to help people find the things that matter." and COO, Vincenz Klemt, sees "the channels opening now are ideal to further grow the Xupo lost and found community." The Scottish start-up is set to continuously disrupt the smart locator market.
