Chirp, the global provider of data-over-sound technology, has formed a strategic partnership with Pollux, the most Brazilian industrial technology company. Effective immediately, Chirp will open a dedicated Sao Paulo-based operation solely focused on developing data-over-sound technologies across Brazil.

This latest announcement cements Chirp as the leading global innovator in the research and development of applications of data-over-sound technology. Chirp's technology has multiple mass-scale implementations worldwide, across all sectors and the objective of the new collaboration is to increase industrial competitiveness across Brazil and to help Brazilian industries compete on the global stage.

Chirp will provide Pollux with the tools to deliver a wide range of data-over-sound solutions and industrial applications that enable Brazil's key industries to be far more productive, efficient, smart and competitive in the global IoT economy of the 21st century.

Automation, Robotics and Digital Innovation

Through the new partnership, Chirp will act as a key technology partner for Pollux's other key divisions across Brazil, which include Digital, Robotics and Automation. The company's Automation division delivers the assembly lines, robotic cells and machine building solutions responsible for three-quarters (75%) of cars presently manufactured in Brazil while Pollux's Robotics division represents an innovative, world's first model, renting robotic technology to factories on a monthly basis, with over 150 robots already installed across Brazil.

"This partnership marks an exciting opportunity for Chirp's ground-breaking data-over-sound technology to continue its global roll out and begin to penetrate the extensive Brazilian market," explains Marco Carvalho, EVP of Americas at Chirp. "We are thrilled to announce this new collaboration and to start working closely with hundreds of Pollux's key engineers across the region to identify new industrial internet opportunities for current key partners."

Mission: Make everything Chirp

Pollux has created an innovation hub to develop with Chirp the best use cases for data-over-sound technology across all of their industrial customers that are responsible for the most automated manufacturing plants across Brazil, with the initial focus on a number of key industrial sectors, including Transportation, Payments, Entertainment, Industrial Automation, IoT Devices, Automotive and Aviation.

"We are thrilled to announce the partnership with Chirp," says J.Rizzo Hahn, CEO of Pollux. "We truly believe that this technology will change the way people and devices interact in several instances, simplifying our lives and generating true value across different industries. Brazil can't be left out of this revolution and Pollux has the experience, market understanding and technical capabilities to promote and support all local initiatives."

Phase one of the Chirp and Pollux partnership starts this month, with both companies starting a number of projects across Brazil and aiming to expand these across a number of other South American countries as they grow and develop.
