In direct response to retailer feedback, Apex Supply Chain Technologies has introduced two new lockers with larger compartment sizes to its AnyWhere line of self-serve, automated locker solutions.

These new lockers allow retailers to make their click & collect programmes more efficient, while providing consumers with an even more convenient and seamless shopping experience.

The AXCESS 6000 series from Apex is ideal for self-serve click & collect parcel pick-up. Now, with a greater array of compartment sizes, retailers can offer a broader range of products for self-serve click & collect rather than these items having to be picked up at the counter due to their size.

Perfect for fashion retail, electronics, hardware and sporting goods, the lockers are a versatile and adaptable solution for the retail sector. The AXCESS 6002 and 6004 are indoor lockers for use in front-of-house retail applications. They are available in two- and four-door configurations. The locker compartments in the four-door configuration are half the height of the 1829mm tall cabinet whereas the compartments in the two-door configuration are available as either half the height and the full width of the locker or full height and half the width, depending on preference.

The clear shift towards e-commerce and mobile has increased consumer expectations for convenience when shopping, particularly as it relates to delivery. Consumers want their purchases as swiftly as possible. Once store employees have delivered a customer's order to a secure locker compartment, Apex lockers automatically send customers a unique pick-up code from the retailer. The customer can then retrieve their package quickly, at their convenience.

All Apex lockers are powered by Trajectory Cloud, a secure platform that provides retailers with visibility of locker performance, including compartment availability, order dwell time, utilisation trends and more, across the enterprise.

Julian Adams, Managing Director at Apex Supply Chain Technologies, comments: "The larger compartment sizes qualify more retailer merchandise for self-serve click & collect programmes, increasing the consumer's selection. And the simple design ensures consumers can collect their orders as easily as they clicked to buy them."

Modular in design, the lockers can be customised with various configurations and individualised colours or personalised branding available to attract consumer attention and reinforce the brand.

Powered by Apex Connect n' Go Technology, the lockers simply need to be plugged into a power supply and connected to the internet.
