EXASOL hosts its first international partner conference

EXASOL, in-memory analytic database provider, continues to expand the size and scope of its partner network and this year launched a new partner sales approach.

From 7-9th December, EXASOL held its first international partner enablement training in Nuremburg where over 25 partners gathered to learn more about how to be successful with EXASOL's in-memory analytic database solution.

In 2016 alone, EXASOL has trained more than 100 professionals and doubled the number of certified EXASOL sales partners.

Among the milestones of this expansion was the hire of Christian Langmayr as partner manager who has been responsible for building out a more global and diverse partner network for EXASOL. Moreover, to build on this success, EXASOL has strengthened its partner team with Eva Murray, who has joined the company as partner enablement manager and Tableau evangelist, and Carsten Weidmann, who has joined as technical alliance manager and expert.

Adding value for partners

EXASOL's partner programme is aimed at reseller, consulting and software partners, as well as OEM and technology firms with 50+ employees, that have an own in-house sales team and want to become a database reseller or integrator. Alongside an attractive pricing and licensing model, partner organizations will profit from several key advantages, including:

  • Access to EXASOL marketing
  • Support in generating leads and access to EXASOL sales teams that support them in their key market or niche
  • Access product development information
  • Support during PoCs as well as in the pre-sales and post-sales process
  • Access to the new EXASOL partner portal

The partner portal serves as a forum where partners can share knowhow and experience with other members within the EXASOL partner community. It contains a large range of EXASOL marketing collateral, training materials and content for self-education. Thus, educational content is made available that supports training events and courses that are run regularly.

Aaron Auld, CEO of EXASOL explains: "A partnership with EXASOL allows partners to enrich their product portfolio with complementary solutions and ultimately profit from the best of both worlds of traditional BI solutions and the Big Data ecosystem. Alongside OEM and technology partners, who want to use EXASOL to refine their ETL offerings or accelerate their data visualizations, a partnership relationship with EXASOL is especially attractive for sales and consulting businesses that currently offer Oracle, Microsoft or Hadoop solutions and that are looking to complement their offering with a high performance in-memory analytics solution."

EXASOL builds out sales team with new experts

To support its channel and partner activities, EXASOL has recently hired a new set of experts. Among them are Eva Murray, strategic partner enablement & Tableau evangelist, as well as Carsten Weidmann, technical alliance manager and expert.

Eva Murray joins EXASOL from Tridant Pty Ltd in Australia where she worked as a senior consultant for Tableau-related matters. With extensive Tableau knowhow, Eva develops EXASOL's Tableau strategy and oversees the Tableau part of EXASOL's solution stack known as "EAT" which consists of EXASOL, Alteryx and Tableau.

Carsten Weidmann, formerly head of pre-sales at EXASOL, returns after a three-year hiatus in which he co-founded me2any AG and worked as an account executive in the technology solutions department at Miller Heiman Group. As technical alliance manager and expert, he works with partners to support them in deploying EXASOL to maximize the success of their applications through integrating the in-memory analytic database.
