Intermec looks to maximise partners' profit with Top Runners programme

Intermec Technologies, provider of rugged mobile business solutions, has announced Top Runners, the new partner programme designed to bring Intermec's best-selling products to distributors and partners at the lowest possible prices. This programme, due to run throughout 2011, is expected to increase partner competitiveness by over 10% percent without the costly and time consuming administrative processes often associated with special pricing agreements. Top Runners will be available from authorised Intermec distributors.   



Mel Taylor, Intermec's EMEA Channel Sales Director said: "We are confident that Top Runners will not only help Intermec's partners increase business growth but will also add a new layer of transparency not seen in our pricing structure before. By offering our top products at aggressive market prices, we are enabling partners to capture mid-market opportunities and drive focus and channel partner profit. Intermec is significantly investing in the channel in order to increase its overall market share, making the company a much more attractive vendor to do business with. We expect that to reduce the administration in distributor and reseller claims by up to 50% percent as a result of Top Runners."

Bert Fonderie, Vice President of Merchandising, ScanSource POS & Barcoding Europe, further added: "Intermec's new level of parallel pricing provides potential new opportunities for resellers. Additionally, the time that can be saved by an improved claim/reimbursement process is an added benefit for all involved."
