Honeywell announces availability of remote management system for barcode scanners

Honeywell has announced the availability of Remote MasterMind (ReM), a remote scanner management system that provides IT administrators with a convenient way to manage all barcode scanners within their network from any remote location.

Now available for purchase in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), ReM is a browser-based stand-alone solution that can be easily incorporated into existing enterprise networks, eliminating the need for changes to IT infrastructure. Compatible with more than 20 Honeywell products, this UPOS-compliant tool simplifies the updating, monitoring and management of scanner performance.

ReM can help reduce maintenance costs and make managing all scanners within a network seamless and easy by providing instant access to information such as where devices are located, current configurations, and performance metrics. Enterprises can reduce their carbon footprint and fuel costs by managing all of their devices from a central location, even when those devices are deployed across multiple sites or countries. Managed through a browser-based GUI, ReM can provide intuitive information on system efficiency and other monitored metrics.

ReM delivers the five value drivers of remote scanner management; each can be instantly performed from any single remote location without disrupting the performance of the scanner.
