A record 1,551 (previous 1,381) exhibitors and 118,876 (previous 110,626) visitors converged in Tokyo for eight concurrent IT exhibitions.

These shows were organized by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd, and opened at Tokyo Big Sight International Exhibition Center from May 14th to-16th , 2008.

The IT exhibitions have confirmed again that this is one of the most important annual events for the IT industry.
This year the line-up of the Software Development Expo (SODEC), Data Warehouse & CRM Expo (D&C), Embedded Systems Expo (ESEC), Data Storage Expo (DSE), Information Security Expo (IST), and the RFID Solutions Expo (RIDEX) were further enhanced by the Direct Marketing Expo (DME) and Web 2.0 Marketing Fair (Web2), who both welcomed their second year.

There were long lines in front of the ticket counters from the opening day and the exhibitions halls were filled with visitors looking for technical support or considering the introduction of new systems or products. At the same time, exhibitors showcased state-of-the-art products and technology.

The exhibitors also set up business meetings to grasp the best and newest business opportunities. We have seen many exhibitors having serious business meetings with users and receiving significant sales results. The seminars held along with the shows had a record number of 16,080 attendees, and attracted the industrys attention.
