DocsCorp and DocAuto, Inc. form strategic alliance

DocsCorp, a leading PDF integration workflow solution provider,  has formed a new strategic alliance with DocAuto, Inc., the leading developer of software applications for the Interwoven WorkSite platform.

Commenting on the announcement David Kiefer, DocAuto's President and CEO, said that the company had decided to discontinue development and sales for its MakePDF software to focus its efforts on matter-centric management products for Interwoven's WorkSite document management system.DocAuto will continue to support existing customers with active support agreements until the end of their support terms, but special transitional pricing has been arranged with DocsCorp to assist these customers in their transition to pdfDocs.

"The MakePDF customer base will benefit immensely from the arrangement as the DocsCorp offering will provide them with a broader range of products, functionality and even deeper integration into document management systems", concluded Kiefer.

David Woolstencroft, DocsCorp VP Sales and Marketing, added "we are very excited about this development as it significantly bolsters our Interwoven WorkSite client base around the world. We are looking forward to working with David Kiefer and his team to ensure a smooth migration for MakePDF users to the pdfDocs Desktop product."

"I believe DocsCorp's PDF integration technology will deliver significant benefits to MakePDF users, providing them with more than a PDF creation tool. Our pdfDocs Solutions Suite offering covers PDF management, OCR, form filling and document comparison-all integrated into the Interwoven WorkSite document management system, concluded Woolstencroft."

Integration between pdfDocs and WorkSite makes creating and managing PDF documents a much faster and more efficient process for users. A single right-click on an Interwoven document for example enables users to generate PDF documents within Interwoven WorkSite. Integration also means that external PDF documents can be imported into pdfDocs Desktop, where they can be modified or combined with other documents and saved into the WorkSite profile as a new version or related document.
