Tandberg Data, a leading data storage company that manufactures tape drives, tape automation and disk sub systems, is significantly extending its range of services throughout Europe to meet the demands of different user groups. Tandberg Data has entered into a partnership with Anacomp to provide various SecureService packages. Service packages will include on-site service, advance replacement and support hotline with native speakers.
This comes in response to the increased volumes of business critical data meaning that the permanent availability of storage solutions is a growing priority. Providing access to company-relevant information at all times and preventing any loss of data is a prerequisite.

The Tandberg SecureService offer will be available from 3rd October. Level 1 service is 24x7x4, which guarantees the on-site service seven days a week, 24 hours a day, with a four hour response time. There are also two alternative levels of on-site service for customers to choose from:
- 5 working days a week, 8 hours a day, with a response time of 4 hours (5x8x4)
- 5 working days a week, 8 hours a day, with a service technician provided on the following working day (5x8xNBD)
The on-site service can be provided for tape automation products as well as for disk-based solutions.
A further component of the SecureService package by Tandberg Data is the advance replacement of complete defective systems (LTO Autoloader and tape drives) or individual components (e.g. Bakstor, StorageLoader and StorageCab) on the next working day (5x8xNBD, available in all EU member states). This advance replacement has been established in the market for a long time. It can be called upon free-of-charge for tape drives, LTO Autoloaders and StorageCab during the first year of the total of three guarantee years and for StorageLoaders and Bakstor, during all three years of the guarantee period.
For Tandberg Bakstor and Tandberg libraries it is also possible, in connection with 5x8xNBD or 5x8x4 on-site service, to acquire a 24x7 support hotline service, where only native speakers are deployed. In addition, specialist trade partners and end customers can use, free-of-charge, the technical support offered from Dortmund under the toll-free hotline 00800 TANDBERG (00800 82632374) during usual office hours, for the whole three-year guarantee period.
