DocuWare AG certifies PoINT Jukebox Manager 5.0

DocuWare AG has certified Jukebox Manager 5.0 produced by PoINT Software & Systems, guaranteeing that the newest version of the server software from this successful vendor of optical storage technologies meets all requirements of DocuWares document management system.

A document management system lets you keep all your information organized thematically and available with a click of a button. In order to handle huge quantities of documents and store them long-term and tamper-free, it is necessary to have a powerful storage system. With a cooperation between the DMS pioneer and a specialist for optical storage technology, PoINT Software & Systems, users receive solutions that can be seamlessly integrated, providing both the high access speed of a hard disk and the security of a jukebox. Archiving occurs fully automatically in the background.
The most unique aspect of the PoINT Jukebox Manager 5.0 is the way it mirrors data simultaneously on two optical media. By using WORM media, it provides a data storage medium that cannot be physically altered; data cannot be manipulated. Aside from the more common technologies of CD, DVD and MO, the system also supports Blue-ray Disc (BD), Ultra Density Optical (UDO) and Professional Disc for Data (PDD). The mirroring process guarantees 100% protection, since a second jukebox, for example, can be placed in a separate area that is safe from fire.
