Zycko to distribute Asigras agentless backup and recovery software

Asigra, the technology specialist in agentless distributed backup and recovery software for network computing, today announced that it has signed its newest Distributor, Zycko, a global value added Distributor of networking, storage, security and VOIP solutions.

Asigras award-winning Televaulting software is a cost-effective, agentless backup solution with a simple pay-as-you-grow pricing model that eliminates the high cost of administration and licensing associated with conventional tape-based backup. Zycko will distribute this product throughout the Americas, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa.

Not only does Asigra provide one of the most impressive backup and recovery software products available today, but they are also committed to supporting the reseller channel, said David Galton-Fenzi, Group Sales Director of Zycko. This combination will enable us to better serve those companies looking for a high-performance, reliable and scalable remote-office backup platform that eliminates the pain and headache of legacy storage solutions.

As our latest distributor, Zycko will provide penetration into global marketplaces, enabling companies around the world with the ability to centrally backup and restore their mission-critical data across geographically dispersed locations, said Eran Farajun, Executive Vice President of Asigra. Zyckos success, knowledge and support in and of the channel make them an ideal partner for the distribution of our Televaulting solution.

Asigra Televaulting eliminates many backup pain points through technology that is designed for enterprise-wide centralisation, built from the ground up to perform on a global level. It is tested and certified compatible by leading infrastructure providers not to take the place of data centre backup software, but to complement it for multi-site backup and recovery. Business benefits that differentiate Asigra's offering from other backup solutions include reduction in worldwide IT management expenditures, compounded reduction of both hardware/software capital and enterprise-wide license costs with 100 percent regulatory compliant data protection. Asigra also offers a "pay-as-you-grow" compressed-capacity-based licensing model, allowing users to pay only for storage under management. The initial implementation capacity is based on the amount of compressed data to protect. After that, customers are charged per compressed terabyte of additional storage.
