Application Developments Ltd Introduce Safecode, Security for Clinical Trials

ADL's new system for clinical trials and other security applications represents a significant enhancement over traditional code break product identification methods.

The new product is entitled Safecode and is a new labelling system designed to provide data security during clinical trials.

Using Safecode confidential patient information can be printed using industry standard laser printers. The confidential data is printed to be completely illegible until the removal of the tamper evident strip is authorised.

Using Laser printers guarantees a high level of print consistency and may help to meet regulatory validation requirements in certain industry sectors such as CFR21 Part 11.

The presence of the tamper evident strip increases security and any efforts made to breach it are made obvious (the seal would be broken).

When used in clinical trials Safecode can be used for example, to identify which patient received the placebo. Simply removing the tamper evident strip on the patient ID card reveals the ID of the patient instantly.

Safecode is a product developed by ADL to provide effective, efficient labelling solutions to the pharmaceutical industry and increase data security.
