Kelgray, a leading data capture solutions provider, has launched a new range of aggressively priced direct thermal and thermal transfer barcode label printers. Aimed at the desktop and industrial markets the printers come with label design software, ribbons, labels and drivers offering plug & print capabilities out of the box.
The EZ-1200 series is a range of compact printers with a small footprint, but with label and ribbon capacity of a larger printer. The printers can take a 127mm (5) diameter label roll and a 300 metre ribbon and come with both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing options as standard. A range of expandable options is available for the EZ-Fit range, including stripper, cutter and additional memory. For simple connectivity the EZ-1200 printers come with USB, serial and parallel interfaces as standard and optional EZ-Ethernet. Prices for the EZ-1200 printers start at just 250.00.
The EZ-2200 series is designed with a rugged metal case and state of the art mechanisms for the large volume industrial label printing environment and costs less than half of the price of an equivalent thermal printer. The printers have large graphic LCD displays to clearly show service information such as label out and ribbon out. USB, serial, parallel and PS2 ports offer a range of connection options and, with the simple addition of a keyboard, this printer can operate completely stand alone without the need for a PC. This is achieved by storing the label designs in the printer memory for recall and print via a conventional PS2 keyboard.
