Avanquest UK announces release of Captaris Workflow 5.0 (formerly called Teamplate)

Avanquest UK announces the release of Captaris Workflow 5.0. This new version automates existing and new business processes with easy, flexible and integrated workflow solutions.

Captaris WorkFlow is the first business process automation product built on the Microsoft .NET framework for Web services. The product is designed to improve operational processes in organisations that have standardised on Microsoft technologies. Captaris Workflow aims to deliver industry leading ROI and value through rapid solution development and integration of business processes directly into customers existing technology investments.

Captaris Workflow 5.0 - Key Features and Benefits:

Integration Improvements with Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies 2003 includes a new seamless user interface, the ability to install both a SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services environment, dynamic Business Activity Monitoring inside of a flexible and Web part, and full workflow functionality in any SSL portal environment.

New Templates features 10 new templates covering vertical, horizontal and line of business real-world functionality, with five more being released each month. The sample templates provide practical insights into the products capabilities and help accelerate the development of the customers own customised workflow models.

New Visual Studio .NET 2003 Integration provides organisations with the ability to utilise Visual Studio.NET 2003 for developing and debugging workflows. Core drag and drop development capabilities still occur within the Captaris Workflow IDE, but coding and debugging can now occur within the Visual Studio 2003 IDE. Technical workers and managers will now have the ability to code in either Microsoft Visual C# .NET or Visual Basic .NET and have access to Visual Studio .NETs robust Windows and Webform designer, and debugging capabilities to further accelerate model development cycles.
