Sygade Solutions (Sygade) of South Africa, one of the worlds leading innovators in the development and supply of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers, announced today that it has launched MaxID Ltd (MaxID), a UK company created to market and distribute Sygade products and services to retail, banking, industry and government sectors. MaxID has exclusive international distribution rights for all Sygade products.
In addition to a range of fully specified fixed and mobile RFID readers for end users, systems integrators, value added resellers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), MaxID will distribute Sygades auto identification, electronic payments & security, biometrics and retail EPOS products. For customers requiring custom implementations of RFID and other technologies, Sygade will provide MaxID customers with direct access to its in-house research & development department.
Gerhard Mynhardt, Sygade managing director said, Significant cost reductions and maturing technology now mean that RFID deployments are feasible for an increasing range of market sectors and we are on the cusp of large scale retail implementations. Sygades first generation RFID readers are in production and ready for on-site deployment and assessment whilst second generation readers are now under test and scheduled for production later in the year. MaxID gives us a distribution channel in key international markets and provides customers with considerable expertise in RFID development and deployment.
The Sygade RFID products include fixed and mobile readers, cellphone reader modules, combined RFID & barcode readers, middleware and reader modules for OEMs.
