LSI Logic Storage Systems and StorageTek to Extend Alliance

LSI Logic Storage Systems, Inc., a leader in delivering technology that enables high performance, highly scalable storage for the open enterprise, has announced the company has entered into a new multi-year agreement to provide products to StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp., NYSE:STK). This alliance is an extension of a relationship the companies first entered into in January 2002.

"This early conclusion of a new and improved agreement re-affirms our relationship and provides a stable platform from which StorageTek will continue to provide innovative and meaningful products as part of our Information Lifecycle Management plan."

Under the new agreement, LSI Logic Storage Systems will continue to provide advanced fibre channel and serial ATA (SATA) storage technologies that enhance several StorageTek product lines designed for open systems workgroup, enterprise and secondary storage environments.
