Semi-rugged and wireless

In addition to Bluetooth, the new Fujitsu FTP-628WSL110 printer supports both serial and IrDA input. The printer draws power from either a 3.7 V DC lithium ion battery or a 110-250 V AC adapter; and, with 1.5 A power consumption, a single battery charge will print 50 m of paper.

The fully programmable printer measures 84.0 (W) x 134.5 (L) x 43.6 (H) mm, and weighs 280 g, including battery and paper. Output speed is 40 mm/sec (320 dotlines/sec) and the printer can print various bar codes and international characters. It uses 2-inch (58mm) wide thermal receipt paper stocks ranging from 60 to 100 microns thick.

The printer has been designed for semi-rugged applications, such as route sales, medical, retail, test and measurement or mobile receipt/invoice generation and can withstand a 1.5 m drop test and is water resistant to JIS C0920 Class 2 standards. The operating temperature range is -5 to +50C.

The paper enclosure system is designed around Fujitsu's Easy-Load Mechanism. The cover opens to completely expose the paper path and platen, enabling drop-in paper loading and tool-free platen replacement. Available immediately, the printer comes with an AC adapter, battery, belt clip and paper roll.
