NCR and BearingPoint Announce Alliance

Under the agreement, which includes NCR's Teradata and Retail Solutions Divisions, the two companies will plan marketing and sales activities with the goal of providing their current and future joint customers with the broadest suite of enterprise and store-automation solutions.
The agreement also provides BearingPoint with testing access and training on solutions from both NCR divisions. The relationship between BearingPoint and Teradata is global in scope. BearingPoint and NCR's Retail Solutions Division will work together in North America.

As one of the key initiatives under the agreement, NCR and BearingPoint will co-host a solution presentation invironment at NCR's Retail Solutions Executive Briefing Centre in Atlanta. This centre will allow retailers to experience innovative assisted and self-service point-of-sale (POS) solutions, interactive marketing displays, customer relationship management (CRM) applications and workforce management solutions for a closed-loop customer experience.
"We believe the combination of BearingPoint's enterprise integration and retail consulting experience, along with NCR's store automation and data warehouse solutions, will result in a powerful approach to solving some of the most critical challenges in retailing," said Dan Bogan, vice president, worldwide marketing, for NCR's Retail Solutions Division.
