Apogee, provider of managed workplace services, has launched its University Welcome Pack, allowing universities to offer students a variety of IT support solutions to start their further education ahead of the new academic year.

With the majority of learning resources now online and virtual teaching becoming the new normal, Apogee comments that it is essential universities and higher education institutions offer secure, easily accessible and trustworthy online services.

The university welcome pack boxes can contain a brand-new HP laptop, loaded with the latest apps and software, fully charged and ready to run. The laptop also comes with ongoing IT support and next-day device replacement, should there be any issues.

Universities also have the option to provide personal printers for students as well as credits to use at Apogee’s Outsource Print facilities, so students can print coursework, dissertations, and large documents with ease.

Universities can choose a package of contents for the boxes that best suits their students’ needs, and brand with any University or campus logos and colours. They can also add personalised goods such as pens, notepads, and multi-USB chargers, as well as any useful literature.

Aiming to help students start their higher education path on the front foot, the box will reduce the exponential list of equipment students need to buy prior to university, providing a less stressful goodbye for parents.

Paul Rylands, director of public sector at Apogee commented, “Supporting universities is a key part of our offering, especially as it has been a challenging time for staff coordinating learning remotely.

“Our education customers know that starting at university can be daunting, so we want to help students have an enjoyable and relaxing start to their journey by providing market leading IT to make their learning as seamless as possible.”

As an approved supplier on multiple public sector purchasing frameworks, Apogee transforms the way universities, public sector, and organisations operate through pioneering technology and service delivery. An independent subsidiary of HP Inc, Apogee has experts in the field and global capabilities.
