Payments company Planet supports the safe reopening of the Hospitality and Food & Beverage sector across the UK in partnership with Checkfer’s technology platform OrderPay.
Checkfer, a digital technology provider, is launching the service with multiple Food & Beverage brands to deliver a smoother order and payment experience for customers, all powered from a smartphone.
OrderPay enables multiple ways for consumer to order and collect goods without physical contact with staff, they can order and collect, order and pay at table or benefit from contactless ‘tap and go’ or ‘QR Code’ self service. The technology allows consumers to maintain social distancing and delivers the contactless experience required to limit interaction between consumers and staff. OrderPay’s advanced beacon technology automatically identifies the consumers location and ensures the correct Merchant branding, menu and pricing are presented in the application. Orders can be fulfilled for collection in-store or served at tableside.
Checkfer’s OrderPay application takes advantage of Planet with 3C integration services to deliver a fast and convenient integration to Merchant enterprise systems. OrderPay benefits from using Planet’s digital gateway to power payments acceptance, allowing the Merchant to process the required payment methods. Payments are routed to the acquiring partner for next day settlement.

The OrderPay platform launched in the UK in July 2020, with Merchants from the rest of Europe and North America targeted to roll out in 2021.
