Bitdefender, the global cybersecurity company protecting over 500 million systems worldwide, has named sales and marketing professional Quinton Watts as Regional Sales Director UK, Ireland, Nordics and Benelux.

His appointment builds on the company's commitment to Europe and to channel development as it rapidly expands in the business-to-business market, leveraging opportunities created by the intense consolidation of the global industry in recent years.

Watts has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and sales and brings the knowledge and ability to map out and oversee the strategies and teams needed to deliver rapid growth within the North European reseller market.

He will report to Joe Sykora, VP of Global Sales and Channels.

“We are delighted to welcome Quinton Watts as a key member of our global sales team during this period of intense transformation for Bitdefender,” said Sykora. “Quinton will play a key role in consolidating our efforts in Northern Europe, bringing tremendous experience and technology and cybersecurity sales leadership.”

’’Bitdefender is one of the most innovative players in the cybersecurity market, with rapid global expansion and widening product portfolio,’’ said Watts. “I look forward to joining the team’s efforts at growing the company’s footprint and expanding its relationships with partners across the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Benelux’’.

Watts comes to Bitdefender with a record of a successful career in cybersecurity, building and leading sales and marketing teams at Eset in the UK for more than a decade.

Bitdefender has enjoyed a high growth for the past 5 years, leveraging the rapid expansion of the B2B segment. In the past year the company redesigned the channel development in the US and added two new business lines to respond to customers’ needs for Network Security Analytics and Managed Detection and Response solutions.
