CloudM enhances migration offering with new email scanning service

CloudM has enhanced its CloudMigrator product to include a powerful Mail Environment Scan feature.

In addition to CloudMigrator’s existing capabilities, the Mail Environment Scan allows users to comprehensively scan their source email platform alongside their file platform, prior to the migration process.

The scan generates a detailed report on the size and complexity of the data, giving users an invaluable understanding of the scale and makeup of their information before moving to the cloud.

This can then be used to calculate an accurate estimate of how long the migration process will take and allow for accurate and effective planning prior to the migration process.

It can also bring attention to any potential problems that may occur, allowing customers to resolve issues before the migration process begins. Mitigating the risk of damaging interruptions or data corruption during migration.

Gary Bennion, chief product officer at CloudM, said: “The Mail Environment Scan is a valuable addition to the CloudMigrator offering. The scan will give users a detailed report on the scope of their data, ultimately giving them a deeper understanding of the migration process. It further presents the opportunity to resolve complications before the process begins, resulting in a smoother migration overall.

“At CloudM we’re passionate about ensuring that our technology operates at the cutting edge of current capabilities whilst also delivering value to our customers. The new update is testament to this commitment, along with the host of other additions we have made in recent months, including Google Vault migrations.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to develop new ways to enhance CloudMigrator and our other CloudM products  as part of our mission to ensure that our customers are maximising the potential of the Microsoft and Google cloud.”
