Following the successful inaugural London edition in June 2016, Flash Forward, the event dedicated to flash and SSD storage technologies, is coming to Munich on 1 June 2017.
Organised by EVITO and speicherguide.de, the one-day conference and expo will offer participants the chance to get up to speed on the latest advancements in storage and related technologies, take deep dives and discuss the ongoing challenges in today's data centres and IT infrastructures with experts and their peers. In addition, the event will take a close look at the developments and future of flash and SSD storage. Flash Forward is aimed at end users of storage and related technologies in companies of all sizes and from all industries.
The conference is divided into four topic areas:
- Technology trends and deployment scenarios
- Integrating flash into existing infrastructures and maximising the value of the technology
- Best practices: how to avoid common mistakes and benefit from proven solutions
- Future developments of flash, SSD and NVMe and their influence on IT infrastructures and processes
The agenda will feature presentations from leading industry analysts, market watchers and end-users, including a keynote presentation from renowned industry veteran Kurt Gerecke, as well as session chairmen Dr Carlo Velten of Crisp Research, Jens Leischner of SANboard, and Engelbert Hörmannsdorfer of speicherguide.de.
"Flash Forward brought an exciting new format to the market last year which we are pleased to extend to the German market in 2017. The event is on the one hand vendor-neutral and on the other hand focused on delivering valuable and insightful content as well as offering multiple networking opportunities," said Paul Trowbridge, event director. "Flash Forward brings together storage professionals, IT decision makers, CIOs, industry experts and leading vendors under one roof. Participants have the unique opportunity to ask their most pressing questions while obtaining useful tips on how to shed light in the apparent jungle of flash storage options and technology".
"Flash storage is developing more rapidly and dynamically than most other segments of the industry. In the past few years, over 1,000 new products have been launched. It is no wonder that storage professionals are struggling to keep up with these advancements", said Karl Fröhlich, editor-in-chief of dedicated storage magazine speicherguide.de. "This is where Flash Forward comes in and provides a vendor-independent platform for end users to gain valuable insights into trends, deployment scenarios and best practices in order to make an informed decision when it comes to integrating flash or SSD into their own data centres".
The conference will be accompanied by an expo where sponsors will showcase their latest products and technologies and visitors have the chance to network and exchange information and insight with vendors, industry experts and their peers.
Sponsors signed up to date include:
