As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting its dealer channel, imaging solutions provider, Toshiba TEC, is currently assisting Bristol based Prolific Solutions in its efforts to accelerate its business growth.
To boost its ambitious growth plans, Prolific Solutions has secured a coveted place in the Bristol Hatchery of Entrepreneurial Spark to help it reach its goals. Powered by NatWest, Entrepreneurial Spark is the world's largest free business accelerator for start-up and scale-up businesses.
Formed in 2012, Prolific Solutions has gained a reputation as an independent, authorised provider of Toshiba TEC's cutting edge multifunction products (MFP) and software. The company prides itself on providing a personal service and its Director, Paula Horton, explained, 'We have the support of a big name brand but because we're an approachable, independent firm, we are always on hand to meet the needs of our clients in person. We provide insight and advice that comes from years of experience and this allows us to find the best ways helping our customers monitor and reduce the cost of their printing and copying.'
With plans to expand its operation but seeking additional strategic support, Prolific Solutions turned to Entrepreneurial Spark. With a vision to generate positive social change through the action of entrepreneuring, this unique not for profit organisation operates nine Hatcheries throughout the UK, which provide expert mentoring, support and acceleration to help grow and scale businesses. Around double the normal survival rate for startups, 88% of companies that have been through the Entrepreneurial Spark programme are still trading today.

Prolific Solutions' acceleration will last for six months, with an option to extend it for up to 18, if they demonstrate exceptional growth potential. The company hopes that after its experience with Entrepreneurial Spark it will be able to accelerate growth above the market trends, increasing revenues exponentially and establishing itself as a leading supplier of Toshiba TEC equipment in the South West region.
The company already benefits from using Toshiba Direct for servicing, maintenance, training and aftercare, as well as drawing on its advice and guidance on a regular basis. In addition, it has found that Toshiba TEC's pioneering Carbon Zero scheme is proving popular with customers looking to lower their impact on the planet by using MFPs that offset any CO2 produced during their manufacture and supply through a range of initiatives coordinated by co2balance, the leading global carbon management company.
