Increase space and capacity with Siemon's 1U 4-post adjustable depth shelf

Siemon Interconnect Solutions, a business unit of Siemon that provides custom network infrastructure solutions to OEMs, value-added resellers and system integrators, has announced new 4-post adjustable depth shelves. The shelves are available in two sizes to support monitors, UPS units, tower servers and other IT related equipment that are not 19-inch rack mountable.

"Unlike most shelves which have a fixed depth and feature extendable mounting arms, Siemon's adjustable depth shelves fully extend to the complete depth of the mounting rails of the rack or cabinet," says Janet Thomas, product manager for Siemon Interconnect Solutions. "The 4-post adjustable depth shelves provide maximum surface area for equipment placement."

The shelves are vented for proper airflow and feature a robust, low profile design, occupying only 1U of rack or cabinet space while listed to UL 2416 to support up to 136kg (300 lb.) of weight. Recommended for use with Siemon's VersaPOD 4-post rack, as well as Siemon's full range of cabinets including V600, V800 and VersaPOD, the shelves are also compatible with any 3rd party 4-post racks or cabinets that support the depth specifications of the shelves.
