DSP Group Inc., provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, and TP-LINK, provider of consumer and business networking products, have announced that DSP Group's DCX81 DECT/CAT-iq/ULE System on a Chip (SoC) will be integrated in new VDSL gateways from TP-LINK.

DSP Group's cutting-edge DECT SoC complements TP-LINK's rich gateway functionality, offering full home coverage for HD voice telephony, multi-line and multi-handset support, and full compliance with the CAT-iq standard, as well as the emerging ULE (Ultra Low Energy) standard for IoT applications.

"Supporting DECT handsets with DSP Group's SoC and CAT-iq firmware strengthens TP-LINK's market position," said Andy Chen, Vice President of the Networking Business Unit at TP-LINK. "We see a strong market demand for DECT and DSP Group's software and hardware packages have enabled us to respond quickly to the market and meet this demand," he added.

"We are excited to collaborate with TP-LINK on their new line of advanced home gateways," said Ofer Elyakim, CEO of DSP Group. "Our cooperation with TP-LINK, a world-leading brand in wireless networking products will positively impact our mutual business worldwide." he concluded.
