Global Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor, Yellowfin, has signed a reseller agreement with Aptus Data Labs, an Indian Big Data and Advanced Analytics consultancy.

The partnership agreement authorises Bangalore-based Aptus Data Labs to offer Yellowfin's business-user-oriented BI solution to its current and future customers throughout India.

Aptus Data Labs CEO and Co-Founder, Samir Kumar Sahoo, said that Yellowfin's international reputation and ease-of-use were two of the main factors underpinning the partnership decision.

"Yellowfin is an intuitive 100 percent Web-based reporting and analytics solution, which features on Gartner's 2015 Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms," said Sahoo. "With over one million end-users already gaining rapid results with Yellowfin's Collaborative BI functionality, Aptus Data Labs plans to leverage those unique collaborative capabilities to fulfil its mission of delivering business decisions at an accelerated pace."

Aptus Data Labs Chief Technologist and Co-Founder, Ravindra Swamy, said that Yellowfin's versatile BI platform would meet the needs of clients from wide-ranging backgrounds and would help Aptus Data Labs to grow its BI business.

"Partnering with Yellowfin has enabled us to offer our clients more diligent reporting, dashboards and visualisation features," said Swamy. "Yellowfin caters to the majority of Aptus Data Lab's reporting and analysis initiatives due to its intuitive drag-and-drop interface and range of world-class Location Intelligence, Collaborative BI and Mobile BI features.

"As an entirely browser and Java-based solution, Yellowfin makes it easy for us and our clients to deliver customised visualisations effortlessly, and analyse KPIs quickly, on any device," added Swamy.

APAC Managing Director, Martyn Reeves, said that Aptus Data Labs' strong mix of industry experience and expertise would prove crucial for expanding Yellowfin's reach in India.

"Nurturing Yellowfin's strong presence and customer base in India is a priority for Yellowfin's APAC operations," said Reeves. "With its strong foothold in the advanced analytics market and wealth of Big Data, Business Intelligence and analytics knowledge, Aptus Data Labs will play a critical role in that endeavour."
