Brewin Dolphin goes mobile with new network from SSE Enterprise Telecoms

SSE Enterprise Telecoms – provider of network infrastructure and data centre services, and part of the SSE Group – has been selected by Brewin Dolphin, one of the country's largest investment management and financial planning firms, to undertake a major network upgrade to support the firm's enterprise mobility strategy. SSE Enterprise Telecoms has installed three ultra-reliable 100Mb internet circuits to connect Brewin Dolphin's busiest UK offices – in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh – while new high-speed WiFi connectivity delivers secure network access to employees, customers and guests.

The 250-year old Brewin Dolphin recently initiated a programme to enable greater workforce mobility, allowing its employees to access the corporate network from any location and on any device. To ensure the programme's success, it was vital that staff had access to reliable, fast and secure WiFi. Following a thorough competitive tender process, Brewin Dolphin selected SSE Enterprise Telecoms, not just for its track record of delivering rock-solid connectivity solutions to financial services firms that cannot tolerate any amount of downtime, but also because it was able to deliver the solution to meet Brewin Dolphin's aggressive project timeframe. The entire project was completed in less than six weeks.
