Trillium Software-Cloudera alliance helps customers achieve Big Data quality for Hadoop

Trillium Software, A Harte Hanks Company and global provider of data quality software, has announced a technology alliance with Cloudera, a leader in enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop. The alliance advances big data quality and helps client organisations achieve real business value, within 90 days, from their open source Hadoop big data environments. In addition, Trillium Software's data quality solution called Trillium Big Data is Cloudera-certified for Cloudera Enterprise.

With Trillium Big Data, organisations now have a single, unified platform that natively applies Trillium's industry-leading data quality features -- including data profiling, parsing, cleansing, matching, and global address verification -- to their Hadoop environments. As a result, companies that utilise a Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub can implement data quality capabilities within 90 days to uncover new business insights and rapidly derive business value from high-volume, diverse data sets.

"Hadoop's extraordinary growth and adoption by so many organisations drives the need for them to focus on the quality of big data, and utilise data quality solutions that are infinitely scalable across multiple domains and data sources. The alliance with Trillium Software and Cloudera provides a platform that completely meets these needs," said Keith Kohl, vice president, product management at Trillium Software. "By combining our industry-leading Hadoop and Cloudera-certified data quality solutions, we are bringing the Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub to our mutual customers."

"With Trillium Big Data and Cloudera Enterprise, companies can natively and seamlessly integrate data quality solutions into their Hadoop platform," said Tim Stevens, vice president, Business and Corporate Development at Cloudera. "To get maximum value from data, it needs to be accurate, complete and accessible."

Trillium Big Data is Cloudera-certified for Cloudera Enterprise 5 and runs natively in Hadoop. The solution helps business leaders and IT professionals create a single, accurate view of their customers in order to rapidly prepare data for critical applications such as customer insight, fraud detection and purchase analysis. Trillium Big Data users will be able to:

  • Easily create data quality projects, graphically build workflows, and test or modify data quality processes prior to deployment;
  • Align big data to business goals that bring new insights to current business objectives;
  • Maximize the value of their big data investments and optimise operational efficiency to minimize cost/time spent on data remediation while maintaining high-performance data processing and analytics;
  • Cleanse international datasets with support for data cleansing and matching with world-wide postal and country-code validation and enrichment natively within the Hadoop environment.
