Varlink, the York based mobile computing and data capture specialist distributor, has expanded its Getac product range with the new PS336 Lite.

The Getac PS336 Lite fully rugged compact handheld is built to endure the toughest of working conditions, ensuring that mobile workers get more done out in the field. The PS336 Lite is IP68 rated to protect against dust and water, and military-grade MIL-STD-810G certified to withstand temperature, altitude, and humidity extremes, as well as vibration and shock.

Weighing only 530 grams and being compact enough to operate in one hand, the PS336 Lite is ideal for workers requiring a small, lightweight device in the field.

Not only is the Getac PS336 Lite fully rugged, it also packed full of technology comes with numerous other features helping to increase productivity. The 600 Nits QuadraClear Sunlight Readable Display ensures that workers have access to a clear, bright display whatever the weather. The 3.5 inch display uses a special multi-layered touch sensor that registers pressure, allowing users to operate while wearing gloves ideal for using in cold or hazardous environments.

Other features include the built-in 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and a LED flash, and the LifeSupport swappable battery technology which provides continuous power while you swap the battery, giving an incredibly long battery life of up to 12 hours. Not only is the PS336 Lite available on either Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 or 6.5 Classic, it also comes with an optional FlexiConn 1D Barcode Reader, Long Range Bluetooth and 13.56MHz RFID Reader, making it the ideal compact handheld for use in demanding environments.
