Primera's LX900e colour label printer with cutter system

Primera Technology, Inc., the manufacturer of specialty printers, announced its LX900e colour label printer with the new ACS-216e auto cutter system.

LX900e is Primera's newest, fastest and most economical to operate colour label printer. It utilises the latest in high-resolution inkjet technology to print colourful labels for products, boxes and packaging. Individual ink tanks for each colour let users replace only the colour that needs replacing. Primera comments that users can save time and money on every job they print. Printed labels can include photos, graphics, illustrations and text – even high-resolution linear or two-dimensional barcodes. Print labels when and where users need them in just the quantities they can actually use.

Outstanding Print Quality

LX900e incorporates advanced inkjet technology called Primera Imaging Perfection. This all-new printing technology delivers sharp text, graphics and the highly photo-realistic printing. Colour droplet size is just 4 pL and black is 5.5 pL – the smallest available on an industrial-grade colour label printer. Print resolution is up to 4800 dpi versus just 1200 dpi on other printers.

According to Primera, with LX900e users can produce full-colour labels at up to 4.5" per second in draft mode. Short runs are printed fast and efficiently, helping you to increase the production of your products. Users can even operate several LX900e printers from one PC as their production volumes grow. Whether users print just a few labels at a time or thousands, they will be printed at particularly high speeds.

Primera comments that, compared with integrated cutters which are more designed to cut thin paper for coupon dispensing, this external cutter features a heavy duty, durable rotary cutter which can cut through label stock, heavy papers and plastics up to 216mm width, allowing the on demand production of tickets, shelf edge inserts, tags, ID-cards and much more, printed in stunning 4800dpi on matte or high gloss photo quality substrate.

Installation is easy and takes only a few minutes. Just place the printer on the ACS-216e platform, connect two cables and you are ready to go. The ACS-216e Auto Cutter needs no extra power supply as it is powered by the LX900e printer and can be controlled through the printer driver, allowing the exact setting of the cut line.
