M3 Mobile, manufacturer of rugged mobile PDAs and mobile computers, has signed an agreement with leading Enterprise Mobility Management Solutions provider SAP. This agreement marks the first time that SAP has partnered with a rugged PDA manufacturer in deploying devices with the pre-licensed SAP MDM Solution called Afaria.
Enterprise Mobility plays a vital role in the strategy of many large organisations. Companies need to manage and secure both corporate and employee-owned mobile devices which are widely deployed. This is also combined with the growing demand of rugged mobile computers for many companies. To better meet both needs at the same time, M3 and SAP partnered to provide pre-licensed SAP Afaria solution on all available M3 products.
M3 is set to launch a new product, M3 Orange Plus on 30 June, 2013. After this date M3 customers will receive, at no additional cost, the SAP MDM Solution embedded on M3 products and technical support, under the terms of the agreement.
M3 already has a strong presence in EMEA & Asia/Pacific region installing hundreds of thousands of M3 rugged PDAs and handheld computers. The new scope of the SAP alliance expects to meet customer's demand for managing their devices and connecting them to host systems.
