2012 was a year of stabilising the economic environment and trying to piece a new beginning. A new beginning is better than trying to replicate the past, even if that past had good times. It is those good time which has led to the economic mess we have now. Securicorp has always been a company which can be criticised for being ahead of its time. We have always been championing the use of remote access CCTV as we knew the future CCTV would have more features when the PC based systems came to prominence over analogue DVRs.
As part of the initiative Securicorp has launched a more robust reseller programme in the UK for the Bikal Eyesoft video management software. The software has been a staple product for sales for Securicorp for 5 years and while we have had some resellers there has never been a dedicated programme which would create the right message for the reseller to take it on. The message within this campaign is clear. It is for UK based CCTV installers using mainly analogue equipment. The reason for this is that the UK is the most mature CCTV market in the world. It was the UK government that deployed counter terror surveillance in the City of London over 40 years ago. This use of CCTV so long ago made the UK population more tolerant or use to being on CCTV.
Securicorp Components, therefore, has an advantage over other suppliers in other countries. We have a ready-made CCTV installer base in the UK and by reaching out to them we can also provide them with opportunities abroad. CCTV systems are important but so are camera positioning, robust install and maintenance & support. UK installers are well practised in this because of the historical use.
Securicorp Components will include support and educational sources to aid the migration from analogue to IP. This will include training programmes, training video library, design & tender completion assistance, advise on network configuration, advise on the server, configuration on & off site and quick & easy purchase method. As part of the reseller programme Securicorp will ensure that IP CCTV leads that we generate are distributed to regional installers. The great thing about IP CCTV is that we can actually even ship a full system to be put in by the installer and simply be switched on, preconfigured, so there isn't any hassle on install. We have case studies and experienced tech support to aid the migration and evolving of the UK CCTV installer.
