TechnologyOne, the enterprise software solutions company, has announced a successful project with Pepper Europe that marks the first European customer to successfully deploy and benefit from its cloud solution.

Pepper is a well-established end-to-end mortgage origination, third-party loan servicer and asset manager and has enjoyed a decade of strong organic growth and successful acquisitions in the Australian market. Pepper Europe opened its first office in London in July to extend its proven operating platform into the region following the acquisition of GE Capital's Irish residential mortgage business.

With interests in the UK, Spain and Holland, Pepper Europe needed a proven and scalable financial platform from which to build out its new European business. A key requirement included the rapid migration of data from its newly acquired GE Capital Ireland business away from the existing Oracle Financials application and into an integrated platform able to serve the wider needs of the group.

"With the demands of setting up a new operation and a requirement to absorb and integrate an existing business, a cloud based financials application offered a good fit for our strategy," explains Teuta Bakalli, CFO of Pepper Europe, "After a demonstration of its features, simple user interface and migration capabilities – it was clear that TechnologyOne could get up and running quickly from a secure cloud platform and offer us a proven suite of enterprise applications suited to our business model."

Pepper Europe is already using the TechnologyOne Cloud for its operations in the UK, Spain and Holland and is currently in the last stages of migrating data from the legacy Oracle Financials systems with a final go-live scheduled for January 1st. Pepper Europe is using the TechnologyOne Cloud to deliver critical business' services and software applications including TechnologyOne's Financials, Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence all from within a browser. The Cloud platform is based on an annual licence fee and includes software, infrastructure and upgrades and is able to scale on demand with additional modular features.

"Our selection of the TechnologyOne Cloud was the most cost and time efficient option and as a business, we don't have concern about the infrastructure while benefiting from a single platform that works from the bookkeeper to the boardroom," adds Bakalli.

The new Cloud platform was announced at the TechnologyOne 'Evolve' user conference in Australia in February and is part of an on-going commitment to invest $150 million in R&D into its Cloud solutions over the next five years.  "Pepper Europe is a great example of how our Cloud platform can deliver a real end-to-end solution suitable for any type of enterprise without compromising on features," comments Adrian Di Marco, Executive Chairman, TechnologyOne, "Our modular approach and easy to use interface allows us to meet the needs of staff across the enterprise while delivering a highly integrated software stack to any user on any device."
