Socket Mobile, Inc., provider of mobile productivity solutions, has announced that NCR Corporation— a global technology company helping the world to connect, interact and transact with business — has selected the Socket Bluetooth Cordless Hand Scanner (CHS) 7Ci barcode scanner for use with NCR Silver, a simple and affordable cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) software platform that enables small business owners and entrepreneurs to take payments and manage their entire business with one POS solution.

NCR Silver makes it easy for small retailers to run their businesses, connect with customers, and sell anywhere. The CHS 7Ci is part of a complete NCR Silver hardware offering that also includes a wireless receipt printer, iPad stand, cash drawer and encrypted credit card reader.
"Mobile point of sale is being redefined by the convergence of new technology and devices and the ability to reach customers at the point of decision instead of at the traditional point of sale," said Mike Gifford, executive vice president at Socket Mobile. "With NCR Silver, Socket barcode scanners, and the Apple iPad, small retailers can increase sales by offering more intimate customer service and having the flexibility to take payments outside the store at remote locations like farmers' markets or street fair

The CHS 7Ci is a high-performance barcode scanner certified by Apple for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
