avsnet has provided the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust with a streamlined method for managing services and communicating with employees around London to minimise disruption from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust provides community healthcare services to 1 million people in the London boroughs of Barnet, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.

avsnet led the design, technical specification and installation of CLCH NHS Trust's new incident control room; the perfect solution for meeting the Trust's coordination and communication challenges. Using a large interactive whiteboard as a central display and monitors either side, CLCH NHS Trust's operations team can converge its relevant data from the periphery displays to the central point to make quicker decisions in response to any disruption. It allows the seamless sharing of information between internal and remote teams, as well as emergency services and partner organisations.

Due to the vulnerability of many of its patients, it is critical CLCH NHS Trust is able to maintain strict scheduling when visiting the public. Suffering delays to routine appointments can have a knock-on effect for individuals who rely on the healthcare services provided. The Trust can now access live maps, traffic information and a range of content from PCs, laptops and IPTV streams to coordinate its response using an intuitive control panel.

Adam Bland, Deputy Head of Resilience for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, said, "We'd like to express our thanks to avsnet for the solution they've provided. We were very impressed with the team's knowledge, skills and flexibility. We have nothing but appreciation for avsnet, especially in the way the installation team worked – clean, tidy and quiet."

avsnet's unified system has improved the organisation's efficiency by providing an integrated solution that can be used in a variety of situations as well as during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. avsnet worked to an extremely tight deadline and delivered the facility ready for Games Time.

Its installation teams also thoroughly tested the installation to ensure it could cope with the demand generated by the event. If issues do arise, CLCH is protected by an extremely strong SLA maintenance contract which ensures the Trust has access to avsnet's market leading support.

Adam Bland continued, "On top of the excellent service we've received, the quality of the installation itself is brilliant. It is of the highest quality and it'll allow us to effectively support our staff. From start to finish we've been kept informed on the installation's progress and the team has been incredibly flexible when working with us. We will be recommending avsnet to other teams and I'm sure the Trust will be using avsnet again."
