Midwich, the trade-only distributor of solutions in audiovisual, print, security, barcode, auto-ID, and digital imaging, has just completed a virtually seamless move to a new warehouse in Minworth near Birmingham. The movement of stock began in October and was completed at the beginning of December. With a huge amount of stock to transfer from two other warehouses in the West Midlands, the potential for error was considerable, particularly as Midwich's ordering system runs constantly. Through careful planning and intense organisation, order processing and delivery were not compromised by the move.

Stephen Fenby, managing director of Midwich commented: 'Whilst running two warehouses was never a cause for concern in terms of customer service, centralisation will result in a reduction in the potential for logistical error as well as a cost saving which we can pass on to our customers. Our continued strong relationship with global logistics specialist Kuehne & Nagel who will be running the warehouse, will ensure that our customers can depend on the same great service they've come to expect.'

Midwich and its associated companies keep a comprehensive range of stock so that it can fulfil more orders quickly, satisfying resellers and end-users alike.
